Last thursday we were in Milan at Replay Laserblast Party. Obviously we had so much fun, in particular when James Murphy (DFA / LCD Soundsystem) was mixing awesome music for the crowd.
The day after we were searching for cool new music and we found this great italo disco tune inspired by LCD Soundsystem song “You Wanted A Hit“:

Wow! “Volevi Una Hit” is a song by Cristalli Liquidi, a new mysterious project.
We haven’t so much information about it.
We only know that there’s the magic touch of Bottin on the production, the song will be released for Mashhh! Records on 2th may and will be available in digital format and in a limited edition on 7″.
We also know that James Murphy and Justin Miller from DFA appreciated…

Marcello Giordani in 1992 started spinning House music in clubs nearby his town and work on the most important Italian Club scenes. In 2006 started producing on labels like Dirt Crew, Mule Musiq, Boogie Farm and Radius, LIWM, Compost Black, Youngodds as “SuperSonic Lovers”.

Since October 2008 is running a blog called ITALO DEVIANCE (full of obscure disco tracks and re edits).

Marcello is also a vinyl junkie, his eclectic dj sets and productions have been inspired by the N.Y. Disco, ’80s Boogie, Chicago house, Detroit techno and from the early Italo Disco & Cosmic music.

Wora Wora Washington meet up at the beginning of 2008 when they do feel the need to develop unborn ideas conceived in their previous bands. There are two rules: to experience the electro environment and to use no software at all. Since the beginning the band has seemed to appreciate the sounds of analog and digital synths talking to acoustic drums. Soon there would be more: two people on vocals, bass and guitar, drum machine and pad. All at once Wora Wora Washington feel so happy with the new sound they make their own. It’s new, it’s funny, overwhelming, powerful. Someone else has to label their genre: power-electro,so strong, so full of energy, attractive, geometrical, a music that you can dance to all the time. Their synth, percussive locomotive is heading for slightly techno sounds, while the bass-guitar carriage colours and fills up the train with that kind of power that is so peculiar to the band. Finally the lyrics written by the all-round artist Giulia Galvan make the whole work perfect. Giulia skilfully sets up a scenery of letters on the stage where songs are performed. Love for words comes out as a bright image in Charleston Dancers and sunny irony in Daisy. At the end of 2008 Wora Wora Washington experience for the first time a live show enjoying a great audience and crew success. Shyrec indie label shows its great enthusiasm for their project. In January 2009 they start recording the ten tracks that would be included in their Techno Lovers album. Techno Lovers is their first work that will be released in November and produced by the Venetian label. There will be ten original tracks in 32 min. that will sum up a year of work together. It will be an effective, dynamic album with no fillers that surely will go straight to the hearts of those who love rounded-off corners of golden circles.

Nassau is a side project of a thin old italian man – a so called disc jockey since 1984 – happy to return in a quiet ‘rotation per minute way’ after years of 130′s slots; a sort of homecoming to late 70es/early 80es when we driven at 120 while radio stations and early discos played everything from Greg Kihn Band to Chic, early Simple Minds together with Monsoon and Skatt Brothers, Ian Dury, F.lli La Bionda and Kiss. Nassau was heartbroken by Hacienda and Cosmic Disco, and has no relationship with fluo stuff and rush hours.

Nassau goes slowly, as when the sun goes down or the tide comes high. A mystical project where Salsa, Balearic Disco, Ambient, Tropicalism, Cosmic Music, Tablas, Trance and Afro Beat collides.

Highly recommended with Martini Dry and Gauloises @ 7 p.m.

It is pronounced “butirò” and it means buttery in French. The reason he has chosen this name is known only to him, but we can say for sure that France, musically speaking, is much more closer to him than Italy.

Michele, 25 year old as we speak, lived his adolescence influenced by the house music from the beginning of the new century. Very early he entered the music world, both as a dj and a producer and acclaimed his place in the new electronic scene that was being formed in Italy. His style could be defined as a mixture of electro and house highly contaminated with samples and vocals derived mostly from dance music made in the last thirty years but his sources deepen daily.

In the past two years he produced and remixed at least twenty tracks, became a resident of Trash-Dance parties, had the opportunity to play on big and small events and festivals in Italy and other countries (EXIT Festival) and performed along artists such as Alex Metric, Grum, Shinichi Osawa, Alex Gopher, Boys Noize, MSTRKRFT, The Glimmers, Das Glow, Strip Steve, Simian Mobile Disco, Danger, Guns’n'Bombs, The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, Proxy, Subsonica etc.

His first EP is called “Beautyrocks” and is out now for So French Records. Take a listen and buy it on beatport!

Today we talk about NT89

NT89 is considered the new upcoming Italian producer. He is one man with a hefty slew of bangin’ remixes, intense, pulsing original tracks and one hell of a lot of style. His live show and his dj sets are vivid and eclectic which brings him worldwide. “ Every track he lays on the decks sounds golden.”

Despite his young carrier “NT89’s tracks have already been supported and played by the likes of Tiga, Erol Alkan, Laurent Garnier, Diplo, The Bloody Beetroots, Congorock, Shinichi Osawa, Brodinski and Style of Eye.
He released several highly esteemed remixes & original tracks which immediately claimed attention of the scouts in the music industry. There’s a new kid on the block!

With a fresh start in 2008 we find he accomplishes even more in ‘09. His popular remixes of ZZT “The Worm”, Zombie Nation’s “Worth It” and Tiga’s “Mind Dimension” remix killed the dance floors all over the globe.
It made Tiga decide to put NT89’s ‘ Mind Dimension’ on his brand new album “Ciao!”. The Japanese edition CD on Pias/Sony Music.
As a Bloody Beetroots studio assistant he collaborated on the “Smash your Stereo” cd which is released on One Love / Sony Australia. Recently he made an official remix of the Noob & Brodinski hit “Peanuts Club” on Turbo Recordings.
In October 2009 he signed to Fatboyslim’s UK based label Southern Fried and the first EP is “DOOMA EP” which is supported by legends like Laurent Garnier, Claude Vonstroke, The Bloody Beetroots & Das Glow. The track ‘Poopa gets played by Dave Spoon on his Radio 1 Essential mix.

2010 has an amazing kick off when his EP “Pumpin” gets played by all the big djs and the vinyl of “ Juno” sells out in just 3 days! As a follow up NT89 made another official remix for Tiga’s new single ‘Overtime’ on Turbo Recordings and his new original track “Delirium” gets supported by Diplo, A-Trak, Crookers, Brodinski, Steve Aoki to name a few. His fresh EP for Southern Fried “Plug EP” with Savile, includes remixes by Matt Walsh, Milano & Hidden Cat which brings more techno vibes to his sound and therefore a new movement.
In the summer of 2010, NT89 enters the official charts of Diplo, Brodinski, Zombie Nation & Chris Lake with 4 different tracks (Delirium, Panda, Tiger remix and Overtime remix).
His latest track “Persian” get’s supported with defined remarks like “a track from another planet” (Style Of Eye) and “best work from him so far” (Erol Alkan). Looks like we are going somewhere..

AntiteQ is a producer, dj, musician and he own a label called MagmatiQ Records.

He realized 2 Ep that received excellent feedback by magazines, fanzines and insiders.

He composed music for advertising, shorts and fashion brands like Vivienne Westwood. He remixed artists as Emil and Gain On Top. He collaborated with underground artists as Captain Mantell, Port-Royal, La Blanche Alchimie.

Now is out his new EP called “M.Ag.Ma Ep (MusicAgainstMasses)”. You can buy it on www.magmatiq.com (there is an awesome limited edition CD with handmade cardboard covers) or you can download it on digital stores.
