Our friends SirBilly & Creso are back with a new remix. We had already posted them and we also love Wora Wora Washington, especially for their live performances. In their soundcloud account, you can also find Nassau and Electroboogo remixes.

SirBilly He’s been involved in music since 1978. Began his carrier as record collector and radio speaker. Then he’s been known as vocalist with Templebeat (a combo who gained massive airplay during the 90es, charted in Germany and Switzerlands, played several european festivals and appeared on RAI + MTV’s 120 Minutes). He started writing during the 80es for Music Club and Dynamo, now he’s a columnist for Il Mucchio Selvaggio and Il Mucchio Extra. Remixer, alone and in collaboration with friends such Creso, The Bloody Beetroots & Mr. Jimma.

Creso is an eclectic and edgy dj and producer. The hip-hop/soul/house roots, mixed with a punk attitude and anextraordinary technique, create a stunning set, fresh and stinging. His productions and remixes are powerful, distorted, with echoes from the ’80s. Half of the ABCD duo, playing solo or duo with his colleague Sir Billy, Creso has spreaded his productions everywhere, including the prestigious RVNG INTL (The Historics – Kinda Personal (SirBilly Vs Creso Saturday Crimson Mix)

WORA WORA WASHINGTON remixed by NASSAU

Wora Wora Washington meet up at the beginning of 2008 when they do feel the need to develop unborn ideas conceived in their previous bands. There are two rules: to experience the electro environment and to use no software at all. Since the beginning the band has seemed to appreciate the sounds of analog and digital synths talking to acoustic drums. Soon there would be more: two people on vocals, bass and guitar, drum machine and pad. All at once Wora Wora Washington feel so happy with the new sound they make their own. It’s new, it’s funny, overwhelming, powerful. Someone else has to label their genre: power-electro,so strong, so full of energy, attractive, geometrical, a music that you can dance to all the time. Their synth, percussive locomotive is heading for slightly techno sounds, while the bass-guitar carriage colours and fills up the train with that kind of power that is so peculiar to the band. Finally the lyrics written by the all-round artist Giulia Galvan make the whole work perfect. Giulia skilfully sets up a scenery of letters on the stage where songs are performed. Love for words comes out as a bright image in Charleston Dancers and sunny irony in Daisy. At the end of 2008 Wora Wora Washington experience for the first time a live show enjoying a great audience and crew success. Shyrec indie label shows its great enthusiasm for their project. In January 2009 they start recording the ten tracks that would be included in their Techno Lovers album. Techno Lovers is their first work that will be released in November and produced by the Venetian label. There will be ten original tracks in 32 min. that will sum up a year of work together. It will be an effective, dynamic album with no fillers that surely will go straight to the hearts of those who love rounded-off corners of golden circles.

Nassau is a side project of a thin old italian man – a so called disc jockey since 1984 – happy to return in a quiet ‘rotation per minute way’ after years of 130′s slots; a sort of homecoming to late 70es/early 80es when we driven at 120 while radio stations and early discos played everything from Greg Kihn Band to Chic, early Simple Minds together with Monsoon and Skatt Brothers, Ian Dury, F.lli La Bionda and Kiss. Nassau was heartbroken by Hacienda and Cosmic Disco, and has no relationship with fluo stuff and rush hours.

Nassau goes slowly, as when the sun goes down or the tide comes high. A mystical project where Salsa, Balearic Disco, Ambient, Tropicalism, Cosmic Music, Tablas, Trance and Afro Beat collides.

Highly recommended with Martini Dry and Gauloises @ 7 p.m.

“Convergere in Giambellino” by Calibro 35 was choosen to be part of the soundtrack of “RED”.
RED (Retired Extremely Dangerous) is an action movie inspired by DC Comics. The extraordinary cast included Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren.

Here a free download of the original track and a remix realized by Useless Wooden Toys. The remix is a mix of electro-dance and latin funk…very tropical style!

AntiteQ

AntiteQ is a producer, dj, musician and he own a label called MagmatiQ Records.

He realized 2 Ep that received excellent feedback by magazines, fanzines and insiders.

He composed music for advertising, shorts and fashion brands like Vivienne Westwood. He remixed artists as Emil and Gain On Top. He collaborated with underground artists as Captain Mantell, Port-Royal, La Blanche Alchimie.

Now is out his new EP called “M.Ag.Ma Ep (MusicAgainstMasses)”. You can buy it on www.magmatiq.com (there is an awesome limited edition CD with handmade cardboard covers) or you can download it on digital stores.

Hibernation volume 2 (feat. TOBOR EXPERIMENT, MUSHROOM PROJECT, BLAKULA)

It’s that time again; the bears come out of their winter Hibernation and take stock of the idyllic beauty that is all around them. Upon opening their weary sleep filled eyes, the sound of a new season floats through the air like Doves gliding through morning sun.

So what is this sound? Well at Bearfunk we firmly believe in working our artists and producers as hard as possible, so all through the winter they have very busy bee’s honing in on that special Bearfunk sound we know and love.

We welcome Downtown Party Network and Lasertom & The Blast Crew as newest members of the Bearfunk cult. They both deliver outstanding tracks with DPN’s “Get a Life” opening the compilation. Lasertom & The Blast Crew hail from the Emerald Isle and are currently fine tuning an LP for Bearfunk, they lay down a potent marker with “Two Sides” a smoked out dub disco jam that is sure to make your bottom move.

Elsewhere we have regular contributors Max Essa, Ilija Rudman and Visti & Meyland doing what they do best. Be sure to check out Essa’s remix of Kotey Extra Band “I’m Dancin” which is exclusive to this compilation. Peter Visti pops up with “Lost In Space” a new single from his forthcoming solo LP. Claremont 56 head honcho Mudd is a purveyor of some of the Bear’s earliest releases. Whilst Stevie was cleaning up the master’s box he noticed that Mudd’s “Ossian’s Cave” release had some unreleased mixes which sounded amazing.

Tobor Experiment Disco Experience gives us another peek into his forthcoming LP with “Guitar Voodoo” an exotic piece of contemporary disco. Blakula‘s LP was one of the best sellers and a highlight for many last year. Miss Morgue a track from that album gets the Kotey extension with his Neck bite edit. Those crazy Italians Mushrooms Project made “Phalcon Crest” many moons ago, we love the style of this duo, they have the energy and passion of a Ferrari but there music has the subtleness and craft of a Jaguar, its easy going music at its best.
