Good news for Ergot Method! His first EP “the big boss jump” is ready and will be released on 8 August on Noiseporn records.
Ergot began his musical career as a clarinetist, fascinated by jazz culture and improvisation. After he leaves the conventional music and fascinated by the live performances of great masters such as Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, and Prodigy, he started his electronic way at the age of 13. In 2000 born the project Ergot, which was consolidated in 2010 as Ergot Method.
Despite being a true electronic music project, the inspiration comes from artists of a different mold:
“Baudelaire, and Kandinsky and their synaesthetic skills have taught me that the purpose of art is to generate something in the viewer and not only represent it, and you must fit in the existing historical and artistic context, the culture of improvisation in jazz music taught me how to do it: not through a simple playback of the songs, but through a dynamic live performance”;
the thrust of innovative underground artists like Bloody Beetrots, Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Junkie XL, Justice, and others strongly influences his style, giving an energetic and aggressive electro ilk, especially suited to represent this era of great change.
In particular, the new economic crisis, is represented in his EP “the big boss jump”, in reference to the fateful jump from the palaces of managers in ’29. Once again the impetus for change comes from extreme situations, once again the music, more and more corrupted by commercial mechanisms, rebels and gives a voice to this change.

Ergot Method is more than a project, more than the name behind the young Isaac Grillo: Ergot Method is a strategy of live performances, inspired by the great masters of electronics, such as Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Fat Boy Slim and Prodigy; Strategy remodeled to follow the innovation of electronic music genres. The evolution of this approach leads to define a new creative style, “visionary” and strongly rhythmic, whose sounds are created by combining the sound frequencies to the frequencies of colors, to painting a musical picture of greater clarity and power. The aim is to give the public a dynamic performance and innovative electronic sounds and rhythms, result of research and experimentation. Influences are from Tech – House and Electro, but also by Minimal and break Beat, from which Ergot Method has its origins. Thanks to the different experiences in local, private events, public festivals and collaborations with artists of the rock scene, including a visionary intro to the ‘Contact’ with which they win Suonica 2009 (Italian competition for unsigned bands), Isaac renew and expand its equipment, from software to analog and digital hardware. While preferring the live Electronic, Ergot Method is proposed with success as a DJ, always putting their own remix and production in the set; Ergot Method is constantly evolving and seeking new challenges: is a long path in this world of sound, where the music depicts our thoughts, and thought is music; a world where everything and everyone is made of invisible strings, vibrating in unison in one symphony, and each note, tells his story of matter and energy.
